When I came
to the study of Paul’s 1st Letter to Timothy I imagined myself
visiting the house church of which Timothy was the young pastor.
And so I made my notes as if I was listening to Timothy reading a
portion of the letter to his congregation during the Sunday services. The
members of the church met in
the home of Aquila and Priscilla.

from our own New Testaments as Timothy reads from the scroll containing Paul's
